COBRA Administration

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) provides that virtually all employers that sponsor group health plans must permit covered persons who lose coverage under the plan as a result of certain events the ability to continue those benefits for a specified period of time on a self pay basis. The administrative demands for COBRA compliance are time consuming. The details of the law are extremely complex and constantly changing as a result of case law and legislative changes. The penalties for non-compliance can be substantial.
We provide all of our clients with COBRA administration. If your group is required to provide Federal COBRA we can process the Qualifying Event notification on your behalf. The client just notifies us when there is a termination and we do the rest. This frees up valuable time that your Human Resources Department can be spending on something else.
